This isn't a terrible ball for contact, but it's very light - it's essentially a standard stage ball with a harder shell. This makes some body rolls and stalls much harder to learn!
If you're looking for a practice ball, the Sil-X 100mm is both softer and heavier, which I prefer.

This is a great practice ball, but it must be noted that there are differences between the two colors. The white Babache is harder while the orange Babache is squishy, almost like a stage ball. Quite personally I prefer the white, though I find it useful to practice with different levels of texture and consistency. All in all, these are great balls! | | Triggy rated this item 5 out of 5
A perfect ball from the great people at Mister Babache, this is an excellent practice and peformance piece that won't break the bank. I have three, and use them for practicing and basic instruction. They're the same weight as my acrylics, but avout twice the size. I highly recommend this as a ball for beginners and those who like a lighter ball.
